Safety in Sports
Richard Zednik’sinjury has once again opened the debate about neck protection for professional hockey players. TSN recently posted a video interview with Clint Malarchuk, former goaltender with the Buffalo Sabres, who suffered a similar accident as Richard Zednik. In his interview he takes the position that Zednik should return to hockey as soon as possible even-though Zednik has been told he should be away from the ice for at least 6-8 weeks. What are your thoughts on this? Is Clint Malarchuk right or should Richard Zednik wait? Richard Zednik is a professional athlete who is getting paid a lot of money to perform so his safety be possibly endangered by returning to early because this is his job?

To get things rolling check out this video. It is probably one of the most inspirational stories that has been sent to me in a long time. It is one of those stories that a person needs to watch when you think that you can’t accomplish the task at hand. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I do.
