I think that we are all entitled to our opinions and should be allowed to say them. This is a topic for merely stating our opinions, not trying to convert each other to our own opinions.

I have read all your comments. I feel that our community and surrounding area was not prepared and quite ignorant in regards to the film industry. Never the less I also think that the film industry was quite ignorant when it cam to the agricultural industry and other economies that drive our community. I think we all could have benefitted great if we had a little training in Economics, Business Communications, and Marketing 101!

Never ever think that you are not heard or recognized, you are, and we have a very loud voice right now! Let’s use it to our advantage! Disheartening representation from or community and business has had a huge impact to our reputation and we must think twice before making statements and actions. Most importantly the treatment of and impressions left upon visitors, investors, and potential investors! They are big factor in moving this community forward. Have we made a good impression?

Smaller communities need to adapt to their environments in order to grow. Have we done this with a multimillion dollar industry such as Corner Gas™? Would other companies be willing to set up/invest here by the way we have accepted and adapted to it over the six years?

Personally I think that it all, Corner Gas™, could have been used to our advantage to a whole another degree and we wouldn’t have worried about the minor inconveniences. Hopefully we figure out a way to pull this great fame and legacy all together within the next year and make Dog River™ work for us

i think that Ryan is wrong. If you look in the past, the money that Corner gas has put in the community is a great amount. Some of the coments that are list above descirbes how shallow small town people are. if your coplaint is that you have to drive to the post office a differnt way you need to get a life. We do not live in toronto. Rouleau only consistes of 20 streets.

If you actually thought about anyone else except for yourself then you would see how many people became known by their jobs on Corner Gas and how it benefited people across the entire country.

I think that is great that corner gas is finally leaving. I hate them around town because they annoy me by holding us up while trying to work. They are power hungry and abuse the rule that they can stop traffic for a period of time. They are only allowed to stop traffic for a period of 5 min. and i have been sitting in traffic for at least 10 min. most times. They may be good for the community in many ways but i still can not stand them.

I think that this is a good thing that is happening because when they were filming they were always stopping you or telling you to stop mowing your lawn becuase you were making to much nosie. This will not impact Rouleau to much other than the one ice cream shop that is very dependant on the turists coming to Rouleau aka Dog River to look at the set and the town. Other than that the rest is for the better. The school was never a very big part of the show. They gave money which helped us out we will miss that i bet. My life will be much better without corner gas around they just annoyed me and stopped me from doing things. Rouleau no matter what will always be known as Dog River becuase that is what is most known by people from other places. The name is going to be that unless somebody from the Rouleau tells them different.
